Data Metallogenica is a not-for-profit enterprise owned by AMIRA International, the mineral industry's research association, on behalf of the global mining industry.

It has been established following the acquisition of an extensive mineral deposit sample collection from Professor Peter Laznicka, formerly of the University of Manitoba, and is being expanded with funding provided by its many sponsors and supporters as a global educational, reference and training resource.

It has to be financially self-sufficient , with income derived from annual web subscriptions, and new sponsorships.

New sponsors are welcome and encouraged to join the development of DM. The benefits to sponsors are:

  • Permanent recognition as a Foundation Sponsor on the DM home page, with a direct hotlink to your own home page
  • Permanent major discount to annual web subscription fees (non-sponsors pay an additional 50% for access)
  • One year of free, unlimited web access
  • The right as a Gold Sponsor to nominate up to three universities in developing countries in Asia, Africa or South America for free web access for two years (Silver Sponsors have the right to nominate one university)
  • Free access to the Data Metallogenica Centre

Your support as a new sponsor would be very welcome to assist in the growth and preservation of this unique and priceless resource for the benefit of all who are interested in ore deposits.
